Alexa Loftus is a writer, actor, filmmaker, and stand up comedian from the wild woods of Southern Illinois. Her love of film began at her hometown video store that was circus themed and run by clowns. While that store met an untimely end, her passion for the art form endured. She is a former staff writer on The Problem With Jon Stewart, the Emmy-nominated talk show on Apple TV+, where she also earned four WGA nominations and won a GLAAD Media Award. Her comedy writing has been published in the L.A. Times and McSweeney's, and she has been a featured comedian at Netflix is a Joke Festival, SF Sketchfest, and Flyover Comedy Festival.
